Original Owners
From the 16th to the 20th century,
the ownership of the Wroxton property was in the hands of Trinity College
Oxford. Its lease was held by a lord keeper to Charles II and a prime minister
to George III. Distinguished visitors have included royalty (Charles I, George
IV, William IV, and Edward Prince of Wales).
The "Approaching the Abbey
Main Entrance" scene connects to scene 3: "Wroxton Abbey Main Entrance,"
scene 1: "Wroxton Abbey Entrance Drive," scene B: "Preview
of Formal Gardens and Pond," and scene 4: "The North Side of the
Abbey."
