The Library, The Regency Room and Other Public Rooms

The CD-ROM will lead you through all the significant public rooms of the original early 17th century Jacobean mansion. You will be able to explore the detailed carvings and furnishings as well as discover hidden features such as interactive books, videos, and a secret door.

Above:The Regency (Gold) Room. Originally intended as the Great Dining Room, the ceiling was redecorated in the 19th century to mark the visit to Wroxton of the Prince Regent (later George IV).
Middle: The Reading Room.
This room dates from the later 17th century additions of Lord Guilford. Its ceiling depicts four variations of musical trophies.
Below: The Guilford (East) Library.
This 19th century addition was built by the fifth Earl of Guilford. There is a hidden doorway, with dummy books, to the left of the first window in this photograph.
